Marubeni Corporation of Japan will donate 15 million Japanese Yen (Php6.5 million) to support the relief efforts in the Visayas region which was severely devastated by the Typhoon Yolanda. The company would like to express its deepest sympathy for the massive loss of lives and extensive damage to properties, and its hope for the early reconstruction and rehabilitation of the affected areas.

Earlier, Marubeni donated 1 million Philippine Pesos to the relief efforts administered to victims of the magnitude 7.2 earthquake that brought considerable damage to Bohol last October.

Both donations will be coursed through the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.

Marubeni has been operating in the Philippines since 1909 and has investments in power generation, utility, transportation, industrial estate, construction machinery and trade.
