Projects and Services

In 2003, Marubeni Corporation won a successful bidding process in Japan as the main Contractor for the supply of JICA’s Grant Aid for the establishment of the PNP Automated Fingerprint System (AFIS). The contract was signed between PNP and Marubeni in October 10, 2003 and the system chosen was NEC’s AFIS. Since its formal turn – over to the PNP by the Japanese Ambassador Ryuichiro Yamazaki last May 2005, the PNP AFIS has been fully operational and became the first Criminal Automated Fingerprint System in the Philippines.
