The Petroleum Department

Since its inception in 1993, the Petroleum Department develops business and handles the operations side for local and international deliveries/shipments of crude oil and petroleum products from and into the Philippines. From crude oil to LPG, the department has been aggressive in meeting the demands and changes in the local market.

With the deregulation of the Philippine Downstream Oil Industry in 1998, we have started supplying the spot requirements of not only the three oil majors, but also of the various new oil players.

In coordination with our Marubeni Energy Group in Tokyo and Marubeni International Petroleum (S) Pte. Ltd. (MIPCO), not only do we engage in the spot crude oil and petroleum product tenders of the oil players.

In line with the Marubeni Energy Group's goal of regional distribution and sales of products and materials throughout the ASEAN, the department has actively discussed with different oil companies long term contracts that will ensure the stable supply of petroleum products in the country.

Projects

• Provide bunker fuel oil to ships that call at various Philippine ports.
• Agent for Japan's leading suppliers of lubricants (Idemitsu) through its local partner, Unioil.
